Shoemakers since 1839

Made in Sweden
Since 1839, we have been manufacturing safety footwear in our own shoemaker's workshop in Kumla. This is Sweden's only safety footwear factory, where design, pressing and testing all take place under one roof. This gives us complete control over quality, working conditions and traceability, from the first sketch to the last stitch.
We have been refining our craft for over 180 years. We have made a conscious decision to keep our research, development and manufacturing in Sweden. The high demands of Swedish users, together with decades of workplace safety legislation, constantly drive us to raise the bar.
In-house production means more than just proximity to the process. It allows us to work long-term with safe working environments, fair conditions and continuous development of skills. Each pair is carefully inspected – both through manual checks and advanced testing – to ensure that they deliver what we promise.
In 2017, Arbesko became part of the Bergman & Beving Group. A group of companies that has been strengthening the industrial and construction sectors for over 100 years. Today, we are part of a network of over 20 companies in 25 countries, with over 1,300 employees and a turnover of approximately five billion Swedish kronor. This gives us the power to continue growing.
Our history is not a look back, but an ongoing story. From the 19th-century shoemaker's workshop to today's high-tech factory, we have been driven by the same idea: to make shoes that last. And the journey continues – take a step with us into the future.
Developed on-site
The Umeå Series was developed on site at Volvo Trucks – built for a working day where the weather and ground conditions are constantly changing, but the shoes must remain stable.
This is how we work, side by side with professionals in their real environments.
